2019 - A great year for Kazoku-Kan Judo Club

News Article #1

If you have just found our website, then I welcome you whole heartedly.

Kazoku-Kan was set up in January 2017 and since then has managed to accomplish some amazing results, not only in the competition side of things, but also the personal development of students. We operate an open door policy and welcome all walks of life into our Dojo, no matter the age, experience or adaptive ability someone may have. Our recent achievements include the annual Adaptive World games, held in Beverwijk, Holland.

We took 2 Judoka to the event and came away with 4 bronze (Which equals 3rd place in the world in their respective categories). Liam Jones in his first ever Kata tournament managed to come away with the Silver position, making him the second best in the world in his Kata category. The whole event was stunning to watch and both of our competitors had a fantastic time throughout the entire weekend.

Most recently, we have just moved premises to St. Peters First School in Droitwich, which offers a warm and safe training environment with proper Gee Mats to train on. We have been there for 2 weeks now and have started to adapt to our new surroundings and attracting more new memberships also. On 4th May we took a group of 12 to Rubery to do a grading assessment, which entailed a theory test and also a physical fighting line-up, all 12 managed to grade with most grading multiple grades at once, which as a Junior is a pretty big deal. So here we are so far, and many years ahead of us, it's all positive positive positive. If you are local to Droitwich and want to pop in for a chat to see how we can help you in a Judo career, wether it's training, competitions or just something to boost fitness and self confidence, then please feel free to do so. We train every Monday evening at the School from 6:30pm until 8.15pm, and on Saturdays at Physique Fitness from 10:30 - 12:00. I hope to see you there.
